Dr. Alison Niccols of the Infant-Parent Program, Chedoke Child and Family Centre, and her colleagues, have developed this 8-session parenting course, to enhance caregiver skills in reading infant cues and responding sensitively. The course uses attachment theory as a framework and active adult learning principles. Right from the Start is appropriate for parents of all infants under 2 years of age. The course, parking, and child care are free. Parents attending a Right From the Start group will have the opportunity to: Develop their skills in interacting with their baby. Foster parent-infant attachment security. See video segments of common experiences and problem solve with other parents. Meet other parents/caregivers.
